What you will be doing:
Working with the Head of Clinical Services and Clinical Heads of Department you will provide a high profile, visible clinical leadership to the team at Gardens and Jacobs Neurological Centre . You will be meeting Safeguarding requirements, clinical audit and governance requirements and associated reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
You will complete clinical audits within the service to support the site in becoming the best that it can be. You will lead a Continuous Improvement plan at the site in line with the CQC.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Clinical/Professional background
- Extensive experience in Safeguarding principles and procedures and legislative requirements.
- An excellent understanding of audit standards and clinical governance
- Extensive experience in undertaking clinical audit activities
- Have the ability and willingness to use a variety of IT systems
- Ability to disseminate clinical audit outcomes that generate changes to clinical practice with both individuals and clinical teams respectively
- Ability to lead Continuous Improvement processes in a Health Care facility
- Sound knowledge of the relevant legislative and regulatory body requirements (Care Quality Commission - CQC)
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
- Experience in analysing clinical information and creating reports for internal/external stakeholders
- Proven ability to successfully motivate a clinical services team providing positive leadership and clinical networking opportunities
- Demonstrate communication skills of a high level including written and verbal communication, ability to listen and summarise and presentation skills
- Able to deliver education and training associated with clinical audits
Where you will be working:
Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds onthe same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border withineasy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complexlong-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support andassistance to maximise functional ability.Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual'sabilities, comfort and quality of life.Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities withover 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according totheir assessments and needs.
