If so, join our brand-new service, Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell for 2 days per week and our Gardens and Jacobs Neurological Centre for 3 days per week working 37.5 hours per week across both sites.

Lakefields Neurological Centre is a fully refurbished 22-bed neurological service for people with neurological and spinal conditions who require specialist rehabilitation following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or other neurological condition.
The service specialises in ongoing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, whilst providing complex physical, tracheostomy and respiratory care.
Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.
The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management.
- Undertake audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.
- Specialist knowledge in the areas of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Band 7 Level Practitioner or equivalent to
- HCPC registration
- Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
- Experience of working with families
- Evidence of continuing Professional Development
