As an experienced Nurse from the NHS or Private Care, you will provide clinical management and leadership to the unit team; acting as a role model within the service to foster a culture of professional development and excellent standards of care, promote positive team building and set priorities, objectives and goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for providing clinical direction and strong, professional leadership to all clinical staff including nursing, allied health professionals and medical staff either directly employed or working under practising privileges and in line with Elysium policy and national clinical guidance.
- Lead the clinical services to deliver a high level of governance, safe effective patient care and identify and reduce clinical risk.Using patient outcomes and utilising the audit of patient feedback, continually examine opportunities for clinical performance improvement, risk management and champion a culture of continuous quality improvement related to clinical activity.
- Support the Service Director with Business Development/annual contracting, with a focus on safe delivery of care.
- Contribute towards successful service risk mitigation/monitoring and at least a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
- Successful delivery of the facility clinical strategy and related annual plan
- Monitor key clinical performance indicators and action any outlier status.
- Jointly responsible for analysing Outcome data and influencing improved outcomes through action planning.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC)
- At least 2 years; experience in a supervisory capacity within a relevant care setting
- Knowledge of the legislation and standards of the CQC
- A strong desire for change and innovation with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Where you will be working:
Location: Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.
The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
