Are you passionate about supporting people through trauma recovery and helping them regain independence and safety in their lives? Join Chadwick Lodge as a Practitioner Psychologist, Psychotherapist or Psychological Therapist to join our Trauma Stabilisation inpatient unit, where you will play a vital role in delivering specialist therapy to adults recovering from the impact of traumatic experiences.
Our service provides a structured, therapeutic environment offering both individual and group interventions delivered by a skilled multi‑disciplinary team. The aim is to support each person to understand, manage, and stabilise their responses to trauma, building the confidence and skills required to move forward without the need for continued hospitalisation.
In this role, you will work compassionately and collaboratively with clients along their rehabilitation pathway, promoting emotional mastery, strengthening self‑esteem, and supporting progress at every stage. You will conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for individuals presenting with PTSD, CPTSD, nervous system dysregulation and other related mental health difficulties. Your therapeutic input will be central to keeping admission lengths to a minimum, enabling clients to develop the insight and coping strategies required to live safely and independently.
You will provide trauma‑focused therapy using the most appropriate modalities for each person, and where needed, offer support and guidance to family members and carers. As a key member of the multi‑disciplinary team, you will also contribute to the wider therapeutic culture of the unit—training, coaching, and role‑modelling trauma‑informed practice to colleagues to enhance the consistency and quality of care across the service.
