Are you a highly organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and a passion for supporting healthcare professionals? Join Elysium Healthcare as a Part-time Medical Indemnity Administrator and play a vital role in supporting our medical workforce through the effective management of medical indemnity, appraisal and revalidation processes.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide administrative oversight of the corporate medical indemnity scheme, ensuring doctors across the organisation have the appropriate cover in place and that all records, renewals and compliance requirements are managed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the Group Associate Medical Director for Workforce, HR teams, Medical Directors and external organisations, you will help ensure the smooth operation of key medical workforce processes.

You will act as the primary point of contact for doctors, hospitals, medical defence organisations and other stakeholders, providing a professional, responsive and confidential service. From processing indemnity documentation for new starters and managing annual renewal activity to monitoring applications and resolving queries, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance and supporting a positive colleague experience.

Alongside medical indemnity administration, you will support the organisation's appraisal and revalidation processes, helping to coordinate appraisals, monitor compliance, maintain professional records and produce reports that support governance and regulatory requirements. You will track key deadlines, identify potential risks and ensure accurate information is available to support audits, reporting and organisational oversight.

You will also contribute to wider medical workforce administration, maintaining workforce records, supporting reporting requirements, coordinating updates and providing confidential administrative support across the medical function. Through effective record management and strong attention to detail, you will help ensure information remains accurate, secure and compliant with data protection standards.

This role is a remote working role, working 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the corporate medical indemnity scheme, including renewals, applications and compliance monitoring.
  • Act as the key contact for doctors, Medical Directors, hospitals and medical defence organisations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical workforce, indemnity and registration records.
  • Support medical appraisal and revalidation processes, including compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Produce reports, dashboards and audit information to support governance and assurance activities.
  • Coordinate workforce updates and support wider medical workforce administration.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, professional standards and organisational requirements.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the development of administrative processes and guidance.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable secretarial and administrative experience, working at a senior level
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines
  • The capacity to interact and communicate effectively with diverse individuals
  • Outstanding organisational and time management abilities with strong attention to detail
  • A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A positive, proactive attitude, with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility, backed by a strong work ethic.
  • Senior-level administrative experience, ideally within healthcare or another regulated environment.
  • Experience managing confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and coordinating multiple administrative processes.
